Description: Deputy Sheriff Turman was shot and killed as he attempted to arrest a suspect who was causing a disturbance at a hotel. Deputy Turman, who was the proprietor of the hotel, asked the suspect to leave. The suspect left, cursing as he went and threatened to kill the next man who touched him. As Deputy Turman attempted to arrest the suspect for making the threats, he opened fire and fatally shot Deputy Turman four times. The suspect was arrested.
