Description: On February 25, 1976, Officer Trettin was shot in the head and seriously wounded by sniper fire at a housing project. Officer Trettin was responding to a report of a shooting. Officer Trettin died at the hospital of his injuries four days later. A 15 year old juvenile was convicted of the murder.
