Description: Deputy Tarsia was shot and killed when he encountered two suspects wanted for the burglary of a firearms store in Pennsylvania. Deputy Tarsia was patrolling Grange Hall Park, which is just above the New York - Pennsylvania border, when he noticed the burglars transferring the stolen guns to another vehicle. When Deputy Tarsia attempted to question the two suspects, a fight ensued. One of the suspects took Deputy Tarsia's service weapon and shot him several times. While fleeing the scene the suspects ran over Deputy Tarsia's body and shot him once more in the head.
