Description: Deputy Thompson and Deputy Jessie Jenkins were attempting to pursue a traffic violator when another vehicle crossed lanes and struck the patrol unit head on. Deputy Thompson was killed in this incident. Deputy Jenkins was hospitalized and returned to duty six months later.
