Description: Corporal Thompson responded to an automobile accident during a rainstorm on Spring Hill Avenue. While supervising the loading of the vehicles onto a wrecker, Corporal Thompson was struck by another car, in dark, rainy conditions. He was transported to the University of Alabama Medical Center where he died of his injuries the following day.
