Description: Police Officer Thebeau was killed in an automobile accident while responding to an assault in progress. While in his patrol vehicle en route to the scene, Officer Thebeau attempted to avoid a collision with a motorcyclist when his patrol car struck a concrete wall, straddled the barrier for about 50 yards and hit an I-beam supporting a highway sign. Officer Thebeau was thrown from his vehicle and struck by another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
