Description: Officer Bowden succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained one month earlier when she was shot during a traffic stop. Officer Bowden approached the vehicle and the suspect produced a weapon and shot her in the neck. Officer Bowden then retreated to the rear for cover and the suspect pursued her. After Officer Bowden fell, the suspect shot her repeatedly in the neck. Officer Bowden was transported to a local hospital where she died one month later.
