Description: Town Marshal Thompson was stabbed as he attempted to arrest a suspect for public intoxication. Marshal Thompson was stabbed in the arm which severed an artery. Marshal Thompson ran to the pharmacy where he collapsed and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
