Description: Patrolman Thorpe attempted to arrest a woman whom he believed was soliciting. The woman's boyfriend intervened and a fight ensued. Patrolman Thorpe was stabbed repeatedly and left in an alley. Patrolman Thorpe was found by a fellow officer and transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the next day. His assailant was arrested and charged with murder.
