Description: Warden Tenney was fatally stabbed by an inmate at the Charlestown State Prison as he made his rounds. As Warden Tenney passed by the bench where the inmate was working, the man stabbed Warden Tenney in the neck. Warden Tenney drew his revolver but was unable to fire. The inmate was subdued and placed in restraints. Deputy Warden Galen Walker was fatally stabbed at the same facility two weeks prior.
