Description: Police Officer Taylor was fatally shot during the robbery of Freedom Federal Savings Bank. Officer Taylor and his partner, Larry Bailly answered a silent alarm at the bank. When they arrived, one of the robbers had already fled but the second robber was exiting the front door. The Officers subdued the suspect. Officer Hill was handcuffing the suspect when the first suspect came from behind, wedged his gun under the bullet-proof vest and shot Officer Taylor twice in the back. Officer Bailly was also shot, but returned fire, wounding the suspect. Officer Taylor's assailant was convicted of murder and received the death penalty. The second suspect received a life sentence.
