Description: Rural Policeman Talley was attacked and beaten when he responded to a call regarding a disturbance in front of a church. Policeman Talley was struck on the head and died of a fractured skull the next day. His assailant was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison and a second suspect received a ten year prison sentence.
