Description: Police Officer Tarentino was shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop. Officer Tarentino initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle because the license plates were not registered to the vehicle. A physical struggle ensued and the suspect shot Officer Tarentino in the back and fled the scene. Officer Tarentino was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. The suspect was located several hours later and as the officers entered the suspect's residence, the suspect came out from hiding and opened fire, wounding a state trooper. The officers returned fire and killed the suspect.
