Description: Deputies Tackett and John Branham observed a parked car on the roadway and stopped to offer assistance. As Deputy Tackett approached the driver, one of the passengers opened fire. Both deputies returned fire, wounding two of the five passengers in the vehicle. Deputy Tackett was transported to a hospital where he died shortly after arrival. All five suspects, including a 15 year old juvenile, were arrested.
