Description: Deputy Sheriff Thomason collapsed after he and his partner placed two belligerent suspects under arrest. The deputies answered a disturbance call at a store regarding two intoxicated men. As the deputies attempted to take the suspects into custody, the suspects fought the deputies. After the deputies subdued the suspects and transported them to the jail, Deputy Thomason collapsed in the driveway. Deputy Thomason was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead due to a heart attack. The suspects were charged with resisting arrest and assault on officers.
