Description: Deputy Sheriff Todd was fatally shot when he answered a domestic disturbance call. A mother summoned Deputy Todd to help disarm her son who was brandishing a weapon. As she attempted to gain possession of the gun, it discharged and Deputy Todd was shot in the chest. The incident was ruled as accidental and the judge dismissed the murder charge.
