Description: Patrolman Terry, Patrolman Clyde Morgan and Detective Ambrose Smith were mortally wounded as they conducted a liquor raid on a group of rum runners. When the officers arrived at the residence, they were fired upon from ambush. Patrolman Morgan died of his injuries two days later. Patrolman Terry was shot in the stomach and died the next day. Detective Smith was shot in the head and died later that month on July 28th.
