Description: Police Officer Van Buskirk fell to his death from a helicopter while participating in a search and rescue mission for a stranded hiker. Officer Van Buskirk fell while being hoisted by a cable into the helicopter with the rescued hiker. The hiker was successfully brought on board the helicopter without injury. Officer Van Buskirk died at the scene.
