Description: Officer Van Arsdell was killed when her patrol car was struck from behind by a drunk driver. While Officer Van Arsdell was sitting in her cruiser running a records check on a drunk driver, another drunk driver slammed into the rear of her patrol car. The force of the collision caused the doors of the police car to jam, pinning her in the car. The car then burst into flames.
