Description: Attempting an arrest. Traffic stop. One very early Sunday morning Constable Valenzuela and Justice of the Peace R. L. Cartledge stopped a car they suspected was carrying contraband liquor. One of the occupants of the vehicle jumped out, grabbed Cartledge's pistol from his belt, and shot Valenzuela twice --- once through the right lung.
