Description: Patrolman Vacha and his partner were patrolling a local neighborhood when they observed a suspicious male suspect. When the officers pulled closer to the suspect, the suspect produced a weapon and began to fire. Patrolman Vacha was struck in the head and died immediately. Patrolman Saccany was struck in the leg as he returned fire. The suspect was fled the scene but was captured and charged with First Degree Murder.
