Description: Deputy Sheriff Voires was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a suspect bootlegger. Deputy Voires was conducting an investigation at the local railroad yard where suspected bootleggers were known to sell illegal liquor. He ordered two suspected bootleggers to get off the train for questioning. One of the suspects refused to get off the train. Deputy Voires was shot and killed when he attempted to board the train.
