Description: Chief Vaughan and Officer Arthur Atwood were stabbed by a suspect as they attempted to serve a warrant. Officer Atwood, who survived his injuries, fatally shot the suspect. Chief Vaughan was transported to the hospital with a stab wound to the chest and died three days later.
