Description: Deputy Veley responded to the sound of an explosion and discovered that thieves had bombed the safe at the Post Office. As Deputy Veley attempted to investigate he was shot in the abdomen. He was able to walk to a doctor's office where he collapsed. Deputy Veley was transferred to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. One suspect was apprehended.
