Description: Lieutenant Vogel and Patrolman Robert Scherer were responding to a call when their patrol car collided with a tractor-trailer at an intersection. Lieutenant Vogel, who was driving the patrol car, died at the scene of internal injuries. Patrolman Scherer was also injured but survived.
