Description: Officer Ventura was on patrol on West Veterans Highway in Jackson, New Jersey. While traveling northbound, another vehicle suddenly made a left turn onto Walter Drive in front of his cruiser. Officer Ventura swerved to avoid colliding with the car, but instead collided head-on with another vehicle. The accident killed Officer Ventura and two occupants in the Honda Accord. The driver who caused the accident was charged with driving under the influence.
