Description: Officer Vogel succumbed to injuries sustained in an automobile accident two days earlier. While seated in her patrol vehicle, another vehicle ran a red light and broadsided her patrol unit. The suspect driver was intoxicated and killed instantly. Officer Vogel was transported to a local hospital and remained in the trauma center for three days before succumbing to her injuries.
