Description: Trooper Vincent was shot and killed while speaking with an impaired driver. Trooper Vincent answered a call regarding an erratic driver and arrived on the scene of a pickup truck which was stuck in a ditch. While speaking with the driver, the driver exited the vehicle, produced a sawed-off shotgun and shot Trooper Vincent twice in the head. Passers-by apprehended the suspect and used Trooper Vincent's radio to call for help. Trooper Vincent was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds the following day. The suspect was charged with first degree murder.
