Description: Detective Walker was shot while responding to a call regarding an armed suspect outside of a residence in a Dallas suburb. Detective Walker and other officers encountered the suspect standing behind a fence. The officers ordered the suspect to drop his weapon and the suspect ran into the home and started shooting at the officers. Detective Walker was shot and was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The suspect remained barricaded inside the residence for several hours and was later found dead inside the home.
