Description: On August 22, 1936, Patrolman Wolfrom was assaulted by an angry mob of strikers as he attempted to assist a fellow officer who was also being attacked. Patrolman Wolfrom sustained several broken ribs and injury to his kidney and was transported to the hospital where he remained for several days. Patrolman Wolfrom returned to duty on October 1, 1936 but remained in steadily declining health until his death four months later on February 1, 1937.
