Description: Flight Officer Wood and Officer Mark Keller were assisting ground units in a search for a stolen automobile. The helicopter experienced a mechanical malfunction and descended to the ground, striking a light pole, and crashing into a fence. Officer Wood died shortly after arriving at a local hospital. Officer Keller was treated and released.
