Description: Officer Wilcher was killed in an automobile accident while pursuing a suspect wanted for assault and a carjacking. Officer Wilcher and another patrol vehicle were responding to the disturbance call when they both collided at the intersection of 35th Avenue and Virginia Street. Officer Wilcher and Officer Arthur Lemme were transported to a local hospital where Officer Wilcher died the next day during emergency surgery. Officer Lemme was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Friendly Action.
