Description: Deputy Walls was shot and killed while attempting to serve a warrant on a suspect wanted for terrorist threats. Captain Chuck Morgan and Deputy Sammy Brown accompanied Deputy Walls to serve the warrant. The suspect was a seventy year old cancer patient. He allowed the three deputies to enter his houseboat before shooting them with a rifle. Deputy Walls was pronounced dead at the scene. Although critically wounded, Captain Morgan and Deputy Brown returned fire and killed the suspect. Both deputies were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Captain Morgan remained in the hospital for three weeks before succumbing to his injuries on November 28th.
