Description: Officer Waller and his partner Officer Henry Townes were ambushed on a downtown street corner. A suspect, who had words with Patrolman Waller earlier that day, opened fire on the officers. Patrolman Waller was killed instantly. Officer Townes was able to return fire and arrest the suspect.
