Description: On December 31, 1932, Deputy Warner joined several other law enforcement officials in converging on a house which they believed two federal suspects, including "Pretty Boy" Floyd, were hiding. Two gas grenades were deployed and a shoot-out between the lawmen and the suspects ensued. Floyd was not present but five suspects were arrested. Deputy Warner was shot in the arm which missed a vital artery by a fraction of an inch. Deputy Warner did not recover from the wound and died on March 23, 1935.
