Description: Captain Wells responded to a house fire along with fellow officers. Upon arrival at the scene, Captain Wells hurried to facilitate the work of the firemen and to save property. Captain Wells collapsed and was taken to a nearby home. Captain Wells died of a heart attack before the physician arrived.
