Description: Officer Wenburg, detailed to Fort Sherman in the Panama Canal Zone, was on duty on military patrol. Officer Wenburg responded to an emergency call, along with an Army paramedic and a fire fighter, regarding a boater who had crashed into the rocks on the Caribbean shore. As the three were climbing down the rocks to search for the boater, a wave crashed into them, knocking them into the sea where they all drowned.
