Description: Officer Whitson was shot and killed when he and two officers responded to a disturbance call. When the officers arrived, they found a suspect brandishing two knives. The suspect attacked Officer Whitson with the knives. The two officers shot at the suspect and mistakenly shot Officer Whitson. Officer Whitson died of a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.
