Description: Trooper Whiting was operating his cruiser northbound, when a van jumped the median guard rail and crushed the State Police cruiser. The accident occurred during a heavy downpour, when the van apparently lost control on the wet road surface and crossed the three southbound lanes of traffic before jumping the median.
