Description: Deputy Sheriff Whittle died as a result of injuries sustained three days earlier in a single-vehicle crash while responding to a domestic disturbance call involving a gun. Deputy Whittle lost control of his patrol vehicle while negotiating a curve, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a tree. Deputy Whittle was transported to a hospital where he remained until his death.
