Description: On February 2, 1935, Lieutenant Winn was critically injured while attempting to stop a speeding motorist. Lieutenant Winn, on his department motorcycle, pulled out into the flow of traffic and attempted to stop the driver when he was struck by another vehicle. Lieutenant Winn sustained massive internal injuries and required several surgeries. He remained under a doctor's care until his death seven months later on September 13, 1935.
