Description: Detectives Wypijewski and Fred Boye stopped a motorist who was driving with the headlights off. When the Detectives questioned the suspect and then searched his car, they found a large cache of liquor. The suspect resisted arrest and fought the officers. Detective Wypijewski raised his billy club to strike the suspect but slumped to the pavement. The suspect wrenched out of Detective Boye's grasp, and fled. Detective Wypijewski was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead of a heart attack.
