Description: Marshal Warring was shot as he answered a domestic disturbance call. Marshal Warring arrived at the residence to arrest the suspect who was intoxicated and had assaulted his wife. Marshal Warring was standing on the back porch talking to the suspect when the man shot him in the stomach. Marshal Warring died at the hospital later that day. The suspect was convicted of murder and hanged.
