Description: Patrolman Worden was enroute to quell a disturbance at a community swimming pool when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle at an intersection. The traffic light had just changed when the impact occurred. Patrolman Worden was thrown 35 feet and sustained multiple injuries to his head and upper body. Patrolman Worden died of his injuries four days later. The driver was charged with failing to yield the right-of-way.
