Description: Sheriff Wolfe was shot when he responded to a silent burglar alarm at a rural residence. Sheriff Wolfe radioed in the license plate of a vehicle parked at the scene before he was shot three times. Sherriff Wolfe died at the scene. His assailant was apprehended months later, pled guilty to a charge of aggravated murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
