Description: Officer Wagner was fatally shot when five members of the Dillinger gang robbed the Merchants' National Bank. John Dillinger and his gang murdered eight officers during the 1930's: Trooper Eugene Teague, Sheriff Jesse Sarber, Patrolman William O'Malley, Patrolman Martin O'Brien, Officer Francis Mulvihill, Chief Franklin Culp, Detective Henry Perrow and Undersheriff Charles Cavanagh. John Dillinger was killed in a shootout with FBI Agents on July 22, 1934.
