Description: Sheriff Walkingstick was shot and killed while escorting a man to jail in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Sheriff Walkingstick was accosted by an intoxicated man who demanded that the sheriff release the prisoner. Sheriff Walkingstick refused and was shot by the man, who in turn was killed by Sheriff Walkingstick's deputy.
