Description: Town Marshal Williams was shot and killed by an off-duty Orange County Sheriff's deputy who was intoxicated at a town gathering. The deputy was disturbing the peace and when Marshal Williams attempted to quiet him down. The deputy became upset at Marshal Williams when he tried to stop him from leaving on his horse so he shot Marshal Williams. The suspect was never captured.
