Description: Officer Williams was shot and killed as he and other officers searched for evidence on a local freeway. Suspect that had tossed evidence, unaware to officers, was hiding somewhere on the freeway. While the officers searched for the evidence, suspect fired several shots at the officers. Officer Williams was injured when on of the bullets penetrated his vest and caused serious internal injuries. Officer John Oare was wounded in this same incident. The suspect was arrested two days later.
