Description: Officer Wroten was shot with his own gun while guarding an inmate at a local hospital. The inmate, who was receiving treatment in the hospital, was able to gain possession of Officer Wroten's service weapon and shoot him twice in the face. Officer Wroten succumbed to his injuries the following day.
